When the lockdown began, during the height of the pandemic, most of us were attracted to shop with online shopping applications like lazada and shopee, due to inability to visit malls and shops physically.
The actress posted a snapshot of a cup that her fiancé purchased online on her Instagram feed. It was placed on top of Neil Arce’s palm, and even with the director’s hand, it appears to be smaller.
Angel captioned the photo, “Nung pumalpak ka sa online buy mong pinagmamalaki,” with a couple of amusing hashtags like “#salamatnalang” and “#kapefordwende.”
Because of this post, many netizens were not deterred but to comment on Neil Arce’s experience. Many expressed their sloppy experience with online shopping.
“Been there! Kamot ulo ka nalang kapag natanggap mo na”, “Yung excited ka sa order mo pero palpak pala pagdating.” and many other comments that show sympathy for Angel’s fiancé’s experience.
But, while many enjoyed this post by Angel Locsin, many also expressed their regret because of their experiences like Neil Arce.
“Na experience ko rin yan… sa ads nila genuine leather wallet, pero nang maideliver, made of canvass na gamit sa mga sofa,” and “Yeah nakakadismaya talaga pag ganyan, na-try ko din yan, kainis tlaga sobra… Kaya nga mas mabuti pang kaw mismo mamili kaysa online” those are just some of the statements and comments of those who saw the Kapamilya actress’ post.
These comments and experiences are just one of the downside demonstrations of online shopping. Aside from the fact that it is difficult to make sure that what you buy is right, there is also the high shipping fee and the extra tax and vat imposed by the government.
